Powerful Email Marketing Strategies For Entrepreneurs.
As someone who absolutely loves all things email marketing, I’m super excited to brainstorm more about powerful email marketing strategy.
Because I honestly believe, that email marketing can be one of the most powerful ways for just about any small business to promote their products and services.
And email marketing isn’t just a mere sales tool – it’s also an awesome way to share your content!
So if you’re a blogger, a Podcaster, a YouTuber, or if you publish any type of content that your ideal audience might benefit from, then in my opinion, email marketing can be one of the best ways to keep your audience updated when you publish cool new stuff.
That’s why I’d like to brainstorm more about my 3 favorite email marketing strategies…
The Single Most Important Email Marketing Strategy…
I honestly think that the single most important email marketing strategy is to provide value to your audience.
Everyone knows that being valuable is arguably the single most important thing for any small business or entrepreneur.
However, the reason why giving value is so important, is because there’s a very powerful nuance that a lot of email marketers overlook.
That nuance, is how they’re going to be valuable over the long-term to their email newsletter subscribers.
I’ve known a lot of entrepreneurs, small business owners, authors, writers, and email marketers who build an email list, but then they never email their subscribers.
There are a few very powerful, and fundamental reasons why this is a bad idea.
First of which, for most of us, if we stop emailing our subscribers, well, they’re going to forget us.
If that ever happens, if your subscribers forget who you are, then what’s going to happen the next time you email them?
They’re going to ask the single worst question that your subscribers could ever ask, which is: “Who is this person, and why are they emailing me?”.
So, always ask yourself, how can you give value to your subscribers? What type of content are you going to send them? How frequently are you going to send that content? How can you help your subscribers? What troubles are they having, and how can you be of service to them over the long-haul?
Try to be cognizant of those answers, because if you’re not sure about the answers, then managing and maintaining an awesome email newsletter can be a tricky endeavor!
How To Easily Get More From Your Email Marketing Content…
One of the most important things that tiny entrepreneurs, and small business owners need more than ever – is leverage.
In my opinion it seems like the small businesses are getting smaller, and the large businesses are getting larger!
So, I always ask myself, how can I leverage my email marketing newsletters? I’m just a tiny one person team, other companies have entire ARMIES of marketers and content writers. I seem totally doomed. 🙁
Well, that’s why I think that, and in my opinion, repurposing your content as much as possible can be a really good idea.
Because wouldn’t it be a shame if you focus on creating an awesome piece of content, but then that content never gets the attention that it deserves?
So, how the heck can we spread our ideas as much as possible? The good news is that these days there are so many different ways to publish content.
For example, these days it’s relatively easy to publish content on blogs, on YouTube, on Instagram, and even with your own Podcast.
In other words, imagine if you spend an entire week or a month creating an awesome piece of content. If you simply broadcast that content to your email list ONE TIME, then that seems like a huge waste, right?
At the very least, you could at least integrate your best content into an automated email campaign, so that way your new subscribers will always see your best content.
Why not go even further and invest a few more minutes (or a few more hours) and publish that same content on your blog? That way, your content will be present and published on the internet for EVERYONE to enjoy, and it won’t be limited solely to your email subscribers.
If you have even more passion – then consider the possibility of turning that same content into video or audio format. That way, your hard work and creativity has a better chance of reaching more people, right?
There are other ways you can do this by the way; what I’ve been doing lately is simply publishing blog posts, and then summarizing this content within my email newsletter content and inviting my subscribers to click on over to my blog to get more.
The point is that, these days, there are so many powerful ways to publish online content. If you’re a tiny one person team, try your best to spend time marketing, promoting, and getting the word out about your content on your favorite platforms!
Just food for thought, and I honestly think that this can be a great way to get more value from the content that you work very hard creating!
The Simplest Way To Pitch Your Offers With Email…
I’m personally a huge fan of delivering value first, and then promoting after the value has been delivered.
One of the easiest and simplest ways to accomplish that, is simply by adding a PS at the end of your emails. The PS of course, is designed to gently promote one of your offers, and the offer could be anything really.
So pretend that you’re promoting a book, a course, an affiliate offer, a coaching offer, or maybe you’re just a freelancer who wants to plug your availability to your newsletter subscribers.
The idea, would be to write awesome email newsletter content that’s designed to entertain, teach, educate, or otherwise deliver value. Then, you can simply add a PS to let your end users know about your cool offerings.
That way, you won’t feel like a needy or pesty marketer (lol), because you’re honestly trying your best to deliver value. At the same time, you’re still trying your best to get attention on your offers.
Simultaneously, hopefully your subscribers appreciate the effort and valuable content that you’re creating, and if they truly appreciate your stuff, then hopefully they’ll at the very least stay subscribed to your email newsletter over the long-haul.
