Why Email Marketing Has Never Been So Important For Affiliate Marketers
If you want to be an awesome affiliate marketer, one of the most important things that you need is access to your end user demographic. In other words, you need a feasible method to reach them.
Because you can have the hottest product in the world that you want to promote. And, you can even have done the best end user research on the planet.
But none of that matters if you don’t have economical access to your ideal prospect. In other words, without website traffic, all of your affiliate marketing efforts shall be for naught, 100% guaranteed.
How Will You Reach Your End Users? How Can You Get People To Click On Your Links?
Affiliate marketing seems like an abstract pie in the sky, almost “too good to be true” phenomenon until you come to the realization that without website traffic, all of your efforts are doomed for epic and dismal failure.
I’m not saying this to be a jerk, I’m saying this to be 100% honest. Without website traffic, without people actually clicking on your affiliate links, then affiliate marketing is a lost hope.
As an affiliate marketer, there are tons of awesome affiliate programs out there these days. The problem is that, if you don’t have a good method to get your end users to click on your affiliate links, then it will be impossible for you to earn any commissions, right?
That’s why I’m personally a huge fan of email marketing.
One of the most important reasons why email marketing is awesome for affiliate marketers is because email marketing can help you to build rapport and authority with your end users, while at the same time allowing you to share your best content with your subscribers.
Because I honestly believe, one of the best ways to become an awesome affiliate marketer is to provide value to your end users via email marketing content.
If you can build rapport, share awesome and valuable content with your ideal prospects, then I think you’ll be in a much better position to refer your affiliate links with your subscribers.
Email marketing can also help you to differentiate yourself among the infinite horde of affiliate marketers out there who are not using email marketing.
3 Reasons Why Email Marketing Rocks For Affiliate Marketers
In my opinion, the single most important way that affiliate marketers (YOU) can benefit from email marketing is by branding yourself.
I think that people prefer to buy from people and brands that they like, know, and trust. This is certainly the case for myself.
By creating awesome content with your subscribers, you can strive and try your best to showcase value, expertise, and authority, and hopefully, as a result, your end users will appreciate your content.
That, in my opinion, is the single most important email marketing strategy. Strive to create content of value. If you can create value, so your end users are chomping at the bit in eager anticipation for your email content, then it’s going to be much easier for you to win the game, right?
Another huge benefit of email marketing is that you can drive website traffic. Email marketing, when done right, equals clicks.
It doesn’t matter if you’re the smartest affiliate marketer, with awesome products to promote and the best intentions on the planet. If you don’t have website traffic, then all of your efforts are absolutely doomed to fail.
Another reason why email marketing rocks these days is because there are so many powerful email marketing apps that are cheap to use, or are otherwise totally free.
I’m personally a fan of AWeber, and have used them a great deal because their service rocks and they’re dirt cheap.
(There are also other FREE email marketing platforms such as MailChimp and MailerLite, and also super advanced email marketing tools like ClickFunnels).
Understanding Your Audience As An Affiliate Marketer
This is one of the most important strategies for any type of entrepreneur, regardless of what year it is, what you’re trying to sell, or the level of experience that you have.
That strategy is to figure out who your ideal audience is, what they want, and how you can help them. In my humble opinion, all content can (and should) be strategically derived from this understanding.
If you don’t have a clear audience in mind (that actually exists), then it’s going to be impossible for you to effectively brainstorm how to help them. If you don’t know how to help them, then it’s impossible for you to figure out what problems they have, and what type of content to create for them.
One thing that I’m always doing, and one thing that I encourage you to do, is to brainstorm the top questions that your audience has.
What are the top 10 frustrations that your audience has in relation to your niche?
If you know the answer to these questions, then it’s going to be much easier for you to not only find powerful affiliate products that can help them, but you’ll also be in a much better position to create awesome content that’s designed to be super helpful.
Also remember that you can invite your subscribers to click REPLY to your emails so you can ask them what problems they’re having. This way, as your email newsletter grows and flourishes, you can try your best to keep your finger on the pulse of your audience’s demand.
Another Huge Benefit Of Knowing Your Ideal Prospect
Once you start brainstorming who your end users, subscribers, and ideal prospects are, you’ll learn more and more about them.
If you strive to know the top 10 problems, the top 10 questions, and the top 10 frustrations that your prospects have, then it’s going to be much easier for you to create amazing content.
I, therefore, propose that studying the frustrations of your ideal prospect can be one of the single best ways to smash writer’s block as an email marketer.
Understanding The Main Goal Of Your Affiliate Marketing Email Marketing Campaigns
The single biggest goal for all email marketing in any niche, is to provide value to your audience.
A lot of people will disagree with me here, but just ask yourself this one question; would you ever stay subscribed to an email newsletter if it did NOT provide any value?
Have you ever left a webinar presentation because there was absolutely NO value?
Have you ever been irritated because you bought a course, or a book, but it didn’t provide ANY value?
Everything is about value. If your email newsletter content rocks, then you’ll be in a much better position to generate authority, prestige, authority, and respect among your readers!
So, is it okay to launch an email newsletter with lackluster, and lame content?
Of course not; the truth is that delivering value is always the single most important thing for any email marketer.
This is especially true to you as an affiliate marketer, because if you’re not delivering value to your subscribers, then you’ll be pressing a hard bargain whenever you recommend a product to your audience.
But… If you try your best to brainstorm awesome content that’s designed to help your end users, then I honestly think you’ll be in a much better position!!!
Thank You So Much For Reading This! You Rock!
I want to let you know that I love email marketing and email newsletter publishing.
I honestly think that the number one rule to email marketing is to simply offer value to your audience.
This seems simple, and it is, but in order to deliver the value you need to really know your audience; know what frustrations they have, what they want out of life, and what they’re struggling with.
If you’re cognizant of this, then it’ll be much easier for you to publish awesome content that hopefully, your audience goes on to love!
Thank you again so much for reading this, and I wish you the best.
