Email marketing is my favorite thing in the world.
Because it gives the little guy (or gal) the chance to reach the world, in the same way that the massive marketing elites and gurus do.
Even better, is that email marketing is a relatively low cost method of advertising. It might cost money to generate a lead, but at least you can continually build rapport and email your audience indefinitely. (Or, until they opt-out).
It’s by far the cheapest way to communicate. It’s certainly cheaper than taking out expensive TV ads, and it’s the best way that I know of to get the biggest bang for your buck when advertising with Pay Per Click.
So, if you have awesome content to sell, a message that can change the world, or are just drowning in a sea of mediocrity when trying to reach your audience, then email marketing still works.
A lot of people see me on social media; they see me on Pinterest, on Twitter, on Google Plus, and in blog tribes.
They think to themselves “Mike, if email marketing is so awesome, then why do you spend hours per day in your Pinterest group board, and slaving away in your blog tribes?”.
Good question, and the answer is even better.
The only reason I use social media, write blog posts, and share awesome graphics in my Pinterest group board, is to build my email list.
That’s it. That’s the honest truth.
Email marketing is, and shall always be my number one sales tool.
I’m confident that email marketing can work for every single entrepreneur on the planet.
It doesn’t matter what audience you have, or what type of business you’re in.
Email marketing, is the best way that I know of, to build massive rapport, prestige, authority, and to of course drive sales.
There’s a million ways you can do it.
Maybe you want to build an awesome email funnel that lasts 365 days.
Or, maybe you want to send fresh email broadcasts each and every day.
Or, maybe you want to do what I do; have a mixture of email automation and real time broadcasts.
The truth of the matter, is that there’s almost no wrong way to send an email, and sending a mediocre email is infinitely better than sending no emails.
Don’t wait to be perfect. Don’t get frustrated if you worry about your subscribers thinking that you suck at writing.
Guess what? I suck at writing.
If you don’t believe me, look me up on Kindle, I have plenty of haters who leave me absolutely dismal reviews, and even attack my ability to construct a coherent sentence (lol).
But here’s the bottom line; at least people are reading my stuff.
And how do they find my stuff in the first place?
More often than not, it’s email marketing.
People love to read email marketing. It’s always going to be around.
Every service provider, every company, every organization, every app, every marketing software, MMO video game, store, service, social media platform, bank, or affiliate product, they all have one thing in common.
That one thing, is that they require an email address to register.
Email marketing addresses, are therefore, the backbone and spinal column of the Internet.
For that reason, I predict that email marketing is going to be around indefinitely, throughout the entire duration of our lives.
In the future, maybe something surpasses email. I have no idea what that medium shall be, but did people envision email 100 years ago? Heck no.
But in the meantime, let’s take advantage of email marketing to the best of our potential, shall we?
The reason I’m harping about this, is because the majority of gurus who’ve previously proclaimed email marketing to be dead, are just trying to sell a replacement gimmick.
Amusingly, whenever you hear about the “Death of email”, how do you usually hear about it? Usually, in an email. I trust that the irony isn’t lost upon you.
So, to summarize, the main thing I’ve learned about email marketing after sending emails and studying email copywriting like my life was on the line, is that email marketing works.
And it doesn’t matter what niche you’re in, who your audience is, or what you’re trying to sell. Because email is something nearly everyone uses. Email is therefore a medium that you can take to the bank, because you can be sure that your audience uses it. Period.
That’s my two cents, and be sure to hit me up if you have any questions or just want to brainstorm, or even shoot the breeze.
Stay cool, and have a great day.
