Want To Publish Your Own Book?
So many of my awesome subscribers over the years have asked for advice regarding their perfect book idea.
If you want my honest and humble two cents, my advice is always the same.
It’s to write the content that YOU want to write.
I know this goes contrary to what most other writers will tell you.
They’ll tell you to analyze what’s in demand, and to figure out what people want to buy.
However, my experience in this world, hasn’t been pretty, to be honest.
Life can be tough, and life is often hell. Especially for writers.
Let me explain.
So many entrepreneurs that I’ve personally known, have failed.
I’ve also visited tons of Facebook groups, and online marketing forums and have read the never-ending-array of horror stories from those who have failed with their startups.
They haven’t just failed, they’ve failed epically and dismally.
It’s commonly stated that about 90% of startups fail. It’s a sad state of affairs; and it doesn’t matter what type of entrepreneur we’re talking about.
Heck, we’ve all failed at startups at one time or another, right?
That’s why, the best advice I can give you when regarding what book topic you want to write; it’s to write whatever you want.
Write what motivates, and excites you.
Because my philosophy, is that so many writers, bloggers and authors end up quitting BEFORE they publish their first book.
So, my advice, is to focus on content that you actually want to publish.
That way, in my opinion, you’re statistically more likely to actually finish the book.
And then, what happens? What happens after you publish your book?
What if nobody buys it?!
What happens if nobody ever buys your book?
This has happened to me countless times.
In fact, this is the main reason why I started online teaching; because I was publishing a ton of books anyway, I figured I may as well turn them into courses as well.
That way, I can make twice the impact with the same amount of content.
And what if nobody ever buys your books, OR your courses?
Well, at the very least, you can give your book or course away for free. At least then you’ll hopefully have some feedback and reviews.
Or, you can relaunch the book later on once you establish a bigger following; so it’s a potential asset that you can refer to later.
Or, you can give the book away as a BONUS to those who buy your future books (or courses).
The truth is that, with every book that you publish, your tiny little empire of content grows.
Your body of work becomes more prolific, and impressive.
And, as a result, you can potentially gain more leverage, if you use your time wisely.
This is just my humble two cents after publishing many dozens of books, most of them, flopped by the way.
But, at the very least, I still have lots of leverage and content to draw upon for my future promotions, don’t I?

Unfortunately, the majority of entrepreneurs end up failing.
If you study these statistics, it's commonly agreed upon that around 90% of startups fail.
This is truly a sad statistic. :(
For that reason, I always advise my friends and colleagues to write books, and to create content that they personally are interested in.
That way, even if your books DO fail, at the very least, you'll have a cool body of work that you can refer to, and maybe even rekindle later on.
