So Follow This Advice Closely…

I’ve known so many awesome bloggers and friends who quit their blog.

This happens for a few different reasons, but it’s mostly because people don’t see immediate results.

They feel depressed, and crushed when they don’t see any website traffic after a few weeks.

That’s why I’m always ranting that you should blog about topics that interest you.

Try to engage your blog with the mentality that NOBODY is ever going to read it.

If you’re faced with the prospect that NOBODY is ever going to read your content… Would you still want to write?

If the answer is “Heck Yes”, then I believe you’ve positioned yourself for longevity, which is among the fanciest of feathers that you may have in your blogging cap.

Blogging Tip # 4 – It’s So Important To Have An Awesome Theme That You Love.

For the first couple of years blogging, I was using free themes and really there’s nothing wrong with free themes.

However, as time went on, I quickly became frustrated because the themes just weren’t as cool looking as I wanted, and there was too much clutter.

I honestly believe, if you want to maximize your creativity, then you have to be confident in the way your theme looks, and feels.

So, invest time trying to find the perfect theme for your personality.

You’ll know you have your perfect theme, when you crack a massive smile at how awesome it looks.

Personally, I love my current theme because it’s so minimalist; there’s nothing else other than my content, a menu, and a few calls to action. This is perfect for me.

Because this tip doesn’t mean that you need to have the fanciest theme; the main thing to look out for is that the theme makes you happy, and gives you confidence to create amazing content to the best of your ability.

Blogging Tip # 5 – Try To Keep A Schedule. But Break It Whenever You Want.

Over the years I’ve had periods where I blog every single day, and I’ve also went months without updating the blog, lol.

The point is that, I give myself permission to write whenever I want.

Typically I aim to blog at least once per week, however, I don’t get bent out of shape if I don’t have the creativity to write.

On the same token, when inspiration strikes, and you feel the urge to blog nonstop, then have at it!

You’ll probably find that sometimes your creativity is through the roof. You have mental energy, you feel alert, and you want to write for hours.

That’s the time when you’ll create your best stuff, and the worst thing you could possibly do is let this inspiration go to waste.

So; write when you want to write, and take a break when you want to.

Don’t feel under pressure to create frequent content, or updating your blog will feel like a chore instead of the awesome privilege that it is.

Thanks So Much For Reading This! You Rock!

I’m not the most popular blogger in the world. In fact, my blog is ramshackle, tiny, and nearly abandoned!

If it wasn’t for my email newsletter, this blog would hardly get ANY website traffic, haha.

That’s why after all of this time, after all of these brainstorming sessions, and after all of this hard work…

I can say that it was all worth it.

Because, even though my blog isn’t the biggest in the world…

At least a handful of readers think it’s cool.

And that’s one of the tips that’s so easy to forget.

That your blog is never about you.

It’s really about, your end users, and how you can perhaps, share some of your awesome Earthly wisdom, insight, and experiences, with those inclined enough to listen.

Until that time, please have an amazing day.

Cordially and humbly…

Mike DeVincent

Have you ever been frustrated because you want to start an awesome blog, but you’re not sure how to start?
