The following document was written for my fellow ClickFunnels users and prospects who have built an awesome email marketing or email list building funnel, and are looking for some creative ways to promote it and to generate leads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So if you\u2019re using ClickFunnels, already have an awesome email marketing funnel setup, or are otherwise investigating your future lead generation process, then you might love this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because if you\u2019ve recently built your email funnel, or if you want to conduct more research into the process, then there\u2019s one thing you\u2019ve probably noticed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You\u2019ve probably noticed that the cost of advertising can be a little extreme at times!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Even if you\u2019re an awesome email marketer, build beautiful sales funnels, or otherwise have an amazing automated webinar that you want to star promoting, face it, the cost of advertising is sky high!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One thing you\u2019ve probably noticed, is that the cost of online advertising keeps going up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pay Per Click advertising can be quite expensive, especially if you don\u2019t have an awesome marketing funnel, know how to split-test, or are otherwise not very experienced with driving paid advertising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That\u2019s why I\u2019m always harping about the importance of email marketing, and sales funnels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because email marketing will, at the very least, allow you to followup with your end users after you generate a lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So in other words, if you\u2019re paying a lot of money on Pay Per Click advertising, why not generate an email lead, which will enable you to followup with your subscriber?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s also why I love content marketing more and more these days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because not only can you promote your email marketing funnels via content marketing, content marketing is a skill that will allow you promote your email list, regardless of what niche you\u2019re in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My own personal content marketing strategy is to create lots of content that\u2019s designed to help people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I love to create written tutorials, blog posts (just like this), and of course, email newsletter content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But that\u2019s just really scratching the surface really, I try to create as much content as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Email content. Blog content. Courses. Books. Videos. The more content you have out there, the merrier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s the fishing analogy that I frequently use; the more hooks you have in the water, the better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Creating content is the easiest thing in the world, if you know your audience well enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So ask yourself, what are the top 10 frustrations that your prospects have related to your niche?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you can answer that question, then you\u2019ll have an awesome starting point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I bet if you try, you can even dig deeper and figure out more advanced problems that your prospects have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That\u2019s how you can create beautiful content that\u2019s designed to help your exact demographic. Simply start answering those questions as best you can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s definitely possible to outsource your content. The only problem is that, quality content is expensive. It can be direly expensive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The main advantage that content marketing has over other marketing strategies, is that content marketing is supposed to be low cost, haha, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So if you\u2019re just a tiny one-person-team without a huge budget, my advice, is to spend the time writing your own content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As someone who has done a ton of work as a freelance writer and ghostwriter, I can promise you that high quality content isn\u2019t cheap. And finding an affordable ghostwriter who doesn\u2019t suck is next to impossible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, my advice, is to create your own content. Learn to create high quality content super fast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the best ways to do that, is to always think about what your ideal audience would love to read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What are the top 10 problems they\u2019re facing?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What are the top 10 questions they keep asking, over and over?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What\u2019s the one thing that makes them so frustrated that they slam their keyboard on their desk?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What do they complain about on forums? What do they nag about on Facebook?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also, one service I absolutely love is Feedly.com. Feedly.com allows you to follow as many blogs as you want via their RSS feed, and then you can actually see which blog posts are the most popular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Why is this so vitally important?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So you can tell for sure which content gets the most eyeballs on it, which allows you to know for a fact what content is red hot at the moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That my friend, is how you can give yourself a chance in the content creation, and content marketing world. By staying current, and remaining cognizant of what\u2019s happening in your world \u2013 and more importantly \u2013 in the world of your ideal audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One of the biggest frustrations that I\u2019ve personally had over the years is that I just don\u2019t have much of a marketing budget at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I don\u2019t have thousands of dollars to pay for an outsourced worker, to help write my content, or to help promote my blog or email newsletter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That\u2019s why this following strategy is so ridiculously powerful, and why it\u2019s my secret sauce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Because once I have an awesome idea for a piece of content, I try my best to get the most out of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Usually, I start off by taking my content idea and publishing it right here on my blog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But then, guess what?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I\u2019m nowhere near finished with this content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I can then take that same exact content, and turn it into a Podcast, a YouTube Video, an eBook, and if I want to, an email promotion also.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The reason why this is so ridiculously powerful, is because as a one-person-army, I just don\u2019t have the bandwidth to create a ton of high quality content all the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, whenever I have a awesome piece of content, I make the most out of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I turn it into audio content, video content, and of course, written content too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That way, I can get the most out of my limited creativity, especially when I\u2019m competing against these mammoth organizations with million dollar marketing budgets, lol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This part is super simple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After you create your content, be it a blog post, a YouTube video, or a Podcast, you can simply plug your main lead magnet at the end of the content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So maybe you\u2019re writing an epic blog post that shows your audience how to find the perfect domain name for their new blog. Let\u2019s also pretend that you have an awesome lead magnet that reveals your top 5 favorite tools to help your end users find an awesome domain name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Well, at the end of the content, you could simply say something like this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIf you truly appreciate this content, then be sure to visit MrComputerScience.com\/blog. When you visit MrComputerScience.com\/blog, you\u2019re going to get my cheat sheet that will reveal the top 5 websites that will help you find an awesome domain name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So if you really appreciate this content, and want to learn my secret tools that I personally use to make the domain research process easier, be sure to visit MrComputerScience.com\/blog\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That tiny little call to action is very similar to what I usually have at the end of my content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This way, your content isn\u2019t that pushy, it\u2019s not aggressive, and it\u2019s just naturally promoting your lead magnet, so you can build your email list and hopefully build a massive relationship with your readers, listeners, and fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In my opinion, the best thing to promote within your content marketing is your email marketing funnel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The whole idea of content marketing is to create awesome content, and then simply include a call to action within your content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So maybe at the end of every blog post, Podcast, or video, you could then include a call to action promoting your lead magnet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But the question then becomes, what\u2019s the main strategy of your content marketing?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My advice, is to promote your email funnel of course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That way, you can promote your email funnel inside each and every content that you ever produce, and hopefully, you\u2019ll be able to build your email list in this way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If your email marketing funnel is setup properly, hopefully you\u2019ll be attracting the right users, introducing yourself and your business, and of course, promoting your products and services to your new leads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Typically, an email marketing funnel contains the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All of these components can make your life much easier as an email marketer, teacher, author, expert, or any entrepreneur who wants to share their message with the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
ClickFunnels is of course my favorite way to build all of these marketing pages, because you can use ClickFunnels to help build awesome marketing pages, using beautiful templates that rock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The best part, is that you won\u2019t have to be a tech expert to design your pages, because everything is hosted for you in the cloud, so you never have to worry about any system requirements, any annoying installations, or any other problems that are caused by tech related stuff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The truth is that after blogging for so long, and trying to build my email list, that these are my personal observations and findings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s true. I think that content marketing rocks. It\u2019s not perfect, and it\u2019s not easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, as the online world grows more and more competitive, I believe, that having these tricks up your sleeve can help you to generate more positive attention in our online world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
